I have been surrounded and submerged in the industry my entire life, back when Montana was more lax I spent most of my childhood on jobsites. My father has been a custom home builder for over 30 years, running under the banner of Montana’s Finest Construction (see the connection?) My teenage years were spent working non-stop in the industry, both for my father but as well with other bosses in the valley learning unique skills, lessons, and what it takes to be a good boss/owner. Outside of construction I spent a large amount of time honing my skills in Martial Arts, teaching ages everywhere from 5-60. I got to run several companies during this time, some my own and some belonging to others. I was inducted into the USKA Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2016, and helped build the first true $0 women's self-defense class in the Flathead Valley. Eventually, I decided I had the knowledge, dedication, and skill to start my own operation.
In an effort to acknowledge my roots, Flatheads Finest Construction was born as a nod to its predecessor and my father. I set forth to build an organization centered around serving my home town, offering exceptional quality for customers and a rewarding career for employees. I wanted to build something where each customer becomes a friend, where everyone can turn when in need. We needed to be a company that could do it all, Flatheads Finest Construction offers over 80% of every aspect of the building industry. No more 20 contractors on a single project, chaos and miscommunication running amok. I set out to be a “one stop shop” with a close network of contractors specializing in services we don’t offer. This would allow us to guarantee quality control and meet customer expectations. Next, we had to build a team. Every team member past, present, and future has and will be hand picked by me, and my staff. Every member who joins is hand trained by me, and knows to uphold my level of expectation. Every FFC employee is a Montana resident, supporting our goal of being a company from this valley, for this valley. Finally, we needed a network of suppliers. While we love supporting local businesses, sometimes a budget has to be met. Over several years we built a tight network with local suppliers, but also branched out to offer materials from all over the USA and Canada. We became among the first in the state to offer full financing options to our customers as well as a full warranty exceeding state average. Today, I work on furthering this company to become the very best it can be. Flatheads Finest Construction now stands as a testament to everything myself and my staff have worked tirelessly to build.
Flatheads Finest Construction has built renown exceptionally quickly, not just locally but nationally. We have been featured in multiple news articles, magazines, and won multiple awards from Buildzoom, The Best of the Flathead, Houzz Pro, and more. While still running at full capacity on our residential sectors, Flatheads Finest Construction also began state and federal contracting in late 2021. As of Oct 2024 Flatheads Finest Construction has completed commercial work for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the U.S. National Guard, The National Parks Service, Glacier National Park, The State of Montana, and School District #5. The rare times I am not at work, you can find me tinkering on my own house, skiing, hunting, or working on my vehicles. I raise my two sons with my Wife Echo, an MT native and school teacher, as well as our dogs.
